SPIKE Prime is the gold standard for the classroom: rugged LEGO Technic builds, a friendly Scratch-based editor that graduates to Python, and a sensor set rich enough for years of projects. It's pricey for a single child, but unmatched for structured STEM learning.
Its strongest area is coding depth (96/100), followed by sensors & i/o (88/100). In practice, endless build options.
The main caveat is age range, where it scores 78/100. Specifically, pricey.
At €430, it sits at the premium end of the category. For most buyers in this category, it's one of the best choices you can make.
