Mirrorless or DSLR?+

Mirrorless (hybride) is now the standard — lighter, with better video and autofocus. DSLRs remain capable and often cheaper second-hand. See the Type spec.

Do more megapixels mean better photos?+

Not always — sensor size, lens and processing matter more. 20–33 MP is plenty for most; high-MP bodies help only for large prints or heavy cropping.
